Training in Participative Theatre & Digital Media

Hammersmith and Fulham EBP present an exciting new perspective on working with young people for education professionals.

We are pleased to offer free of charge, this fantastic opportunity through our Actvise Partners, under the Leonardo European programme. This unique two-day training course looks at  the practical applications of employing participative theatre and digital media in education and business and will introduce participants to relevant methods, providing a solid basis for further work in this area.

Day One: 19th September 2011 - On the first day, attendees will be introduced to and develop skills and competencies in the use of forum theatre, through practical based teaching on setting up a forum play, warm-up and value exercises and guidance on being a facilitator.

Day Two: 31st October 2011 – this follow up day will offer attendees instruction in the use of digital media and Forum Theatre and explore its applications with young people. Additionally, the programme will give a focus and foundation to the philosophy of using Forum Theatre and digital media and any ethical considerations that may arise.

The UK seminars will be facilitated by Risto Ruottunen, Finnish drama teacher with experience in forum theatre, and Niels Ole Ankerstjerne from VIFIN, expert on the incorporation of digital media in teaching and learning.

Both Seminars will be held at BBC White City Media Centre, details to follow.
