Actvise ends with international conference

The Actvise –Forum Theatre project completes its activities with an international conference on the topic of new methods in youth work and guidance counselling. The conference is a two day seminar on the 4th and 5th of October 2012 and takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The main focus of the conference will be to share the results and methods of the Actvise project and to launch the project’s handbook. The handbook is a guide to using the forum theatre methods, value exercises etc. and contains written materials plus videos illustrating the exercises.

In addition to the focus on the Actvise project the conference will broaden its perspective to other projects and methods related to young people, digital media and art based ways of working. Other EU projects represented at the conference will be the MIMO project focused on art based methods in social and youth work (http://mimo.turkuamk.fi/) and the NAVIGUIDE project which is working on creating a database of guidance methods in group settings (www.naviguide.net).

The two days will include a mix of presentations, workshops and participation and it is targeted especially at professionals who work with young people. This could be teachers, guidance and career counselors, mentors, social workers etc., but other groups might find the methods interesting as well.

Participation to the conference is free and open to all, but registration is necessary. Find more details plus the full program and sign up here.
