Videnscenter for Integration


VIFIN (Resource Centre for Integration) is a public institution within the Municipality of Vejle whose mission is to help facilitate the integration of migrants into the Danish society. Its purpose is to collect, adapt, develop and disseminate best practices on migrant integration. It conducts research and surveys on language learning, employment and cultural integration of migrants, as well as engages in national and transnational projects facilitating and developing adult education and integration. VIFIN is involved in several projects using IT and mobile technology for educational purposes, and have extensive experience with European partnerships.

Uddannelsesvejledning - Vejle

UU Vejle - The Youth Guidance Centre of Vejle
UU Vejle is a public institution providing guidance and career counselling to young people aged 13 to 25.
It is targeted particularly at young pupils in lower secondary school, young people under the age of 25 outside education and employment, and young people with a special need of guidance.
The focus is on the transition from compulsory to youth education.
The aims of UU Vejle are like the government’s objectives that 95% of the young people must complete an upper secondary education or vocational education and training, and to limit the number of drop outs.
UU Vejle offers guidance sessions, bridging to youth education and vocational practice, information retrieval, mentor programme, and assists in making personal education plans (transition plans).

 

HUMAK

HUMAK is a University of Applied Sciences that is an expert and a leading educator in the humanities and pedagogy as well as cultural management in the whole of Finland. In the field of the humanities and pedagogy, HUMAK offers a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Civic Activities and Youth Work and in Sign Language Interpreting. In the field of culture, HUMAK offers a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Cultural Management.

HUMAK also offers continuing education and extension studies in the form of adult education, retraining and upgrading of qualifications, specialization studies, open university instruction and other extension studies.

 

 Hammersmidth & fulham

The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham education business partnership works with local schools, colleges and training providers to give their students high quality work related learning and enterprise education opportunities. This includes engaging and working with local businesses to find, train and support volunteers to work with young people at risk of failing; The EBP oversees high quality mentoring and peer tutoring programmes; organises ‘enterprise days’, Careers days, work experience and develops new initiatives within the curriculum. LBHF is a diverse inner London Borough with a high BME and refugee/asylum seeker population.

As part of Hammersmith and Fulham Local Authority’s Children’s’ Services Department the ebp is committed to bringing different sections of the community together to enhance social cohesion and maximise the potential of young people. Inadequate language and communication skills have been identified as a key barrier to young people moving into education, employment and training. Consequently, the ebp develops new projects to respond to the needs of young people and those who work with them.
